- Movie presentation of The Chemical Brothers: Don't Think
For nearly two decades, the Chemical Brothers “mind-bending” audiovisual live show has played to packed houses and festivals across the globe. But it has never been documented on film. Until now.
In 2011, at the iconic Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, The Chemical Brothers played a headline set in front of 50,000 fans which was captured on 21 cameras. Immersing us in the thick of a frenetic crowd, ‘Don’t Think’ captures the synaesthetic barrage of sound, film and light and the transforming effect it has on its audience.
Directed by Adam Smith, one of the show’s visual creators, we are taken on a magical realist psychedelic journey where we feel the show rather than merely watch it.
- Dancing Encouraged!
Over the past two decades, many of us San Franciscans have had the pleasure of seeing The Chemical Brothers in places like the Bill Graham Auditorium, the San Francisco Concourse and Design Center, and most recently over at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Whether you've seen them live and want to relive the euphoria or just have simply missed your chances to see them yet, Don't Think captures the energy and momentum of their live sets in an awe-inspiring way.
The Roxie is an amazing vintage theater in the heart of the Mission, and it's the perfect place to be a part of an exclusive screening of one of the most epic performances of the Chemical Brothers from across the world in Japan. The show is sure to be full of fans and electronic-music-loving ravers alike, as the walls of the theater will be splashed with hypnotic visuals and pounding Chemical Beats from the Fuji Rocks Festival.
