Winner of the SXSW Audience Award, Fat Kid Rules The World is the story of Troy Billings, seventeen, overweight, and suicidal. Just as he’s about to jump in front of a bus, he’s saved by Marcus, a charming high school dropout/street musician. The two begin an uneasy friendship when Marcus enlists the musically challenged Troy to become the drummer in a new punk rock band. Keepitclassic (http://www.keepitclassic.com) is excited to bring the 2012 SXSW Audience Award winning movie FAT KID RULES THE WORLD to Miami, Florida for a one-night-only special engagement. This film festival favorite directed by actor Matthew Lillard (SCREAM, WITHOUT A PADDLE, THE DECENDANTS) is making its way around the country and we were able to get our hands on it for you.
The event will be hosted by Marc Ferman of Keepitclassic.com and will include a brief introduction.
