Inspired by the music of singer-songwriter Wes Cunningham, SIRONIA is the story of a talented musician who has been chewed up and spit out by the Hollywood music machine. Frustrated by his broken career, Thomas Fisher and his wife Molly impulsively pack up and move to small town Sironia, Texas to live a more authentic life and raise their first child near Molly's brother and his family. Despite the change of scenery, Thomas's deep resentment over his lost dreams gets the best of him as he struggles to find peace with his stalled career, until he remembers what he loved about music - and Molly - in the first place.

Wes Cunningham, who co-wrote and stars in the film, and who composed the music for the film, will join us for a Q&A session after the screening. The next evening, Friday September 21, Wes will perform a full concert at Open Ears Concerts. Open Ears Concerts is a non-profit concert series held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Wells Branch. Open Ears Concerts presents established and emerging artists in a family-friendly listening room environment with great acoustics. These shows focus on hearing and appreciating the artistry of many types of music. You can rest assured that there will be no proselytizing – just great music, free coffee, and pot-luck snacks.
